Give to the Max Day
On November 9th, for twenty-four hours, thousands of area nonprofits -- including Neediest Kids -- will unite to raise three million dollars as part of the first annual Give to the Max Day: Greater Washington, a massive one-day regional online fundraiser to support local programs.
Neediest Kids asks you to click the link below to Give to the Max to help students receive the basic essentials they need so they can get the education they deserve. And don't forget to post this on your Facebook page and listserves and email it to all your friends so everyone can 'give to the max' on November 9th. Thanks so much!

Decadent Delights
January 21, 2012
Decadent Delights is a glorious opportunity for you to break all your New Year's resolutions and spend an afternoon indulging in delectable desserts, fine wines donated by Total Wines and More, and great entertainment. There's even a Decorating Den sponsored by Safeway where children of all ages can decorate their own cupcakes and cookies.
Sponsorship opportunities and a limited number of tickets are available for this wonderful fundraiser. For more information, email ginsburg_amy@neediestkids.org.
Decadent Delights will be held Saturday, January 21 from 4pm to 6pm at the Carnegie Institution of Washington.
Oh -- and our wonderful co-chairs, Julie Raffesnperger and Joan Vassos, have assured us that any treats consumed to raise funds for Neediest Kids have zero calories.

Why Your Support Matters
From a School Counselor --
Bridge to Success provided generous funds for clothing and food for a homeless family with four adolescent children. I had the pleasure to work with the youngest child, the 14-year-old boy. Bridge to Success funds were a practical complement to all the interventions that the school put in place. Buying him appropriate and clean clothes in the winter time was a practical and concrete way to show him that adults in the community care about him. This young man kept working toward his goal of being promoted to 9th grade and succeeded. Thank you for your timely assistance.
