Social Workers are Overjoyed to Receive Thousands of Jeans as well as $275,000 Worth of Other Clothes for their Students
Thanks to our partnership with K.I.D.S., Kids in Distressed Situations, we gave thousands of pairs of designer jeans to students in need in Fairfax, Montgomery, Arlington, and Washington, DC schools.
Also through K.I.D.S., Sears donated a huge assortment of much-needed clothes that were distributed to Frederick, Alexandria, Prince George's, and Loudoun schools districts.
The teachers and social workers shared that their low-income students were thrilled and grateful to receive such stylish new clothes
Neediest Kids also gives a heartfelt 'thank you' to First Potomac Realty Trust who stored the two enormous shipments of jeans and clothes in one of their warehouses and whose employees volunteered to sort the nineteen pallets of clothes and jeans.

Why Your Donations Matter
In Arlington County, a pregnant teenager had no appropriate clothes to wear to school and often stayed home. Through our Bridge to Success program, she purchased new clothes at one of our vendor partners, Target, and her school attendance dramatically improved.
In Maryland, the Bridge to Success program gave an elementary student's family bus money so they could obtain groceries at a local food pantry. No child can learn to read or understand subtraction with an empty rumbling stomach, and the only meals the student had been eating were the free breakfast and lunch served at school. Because of your financial support, this family was able to restock their shelves and provide nutritious meals so that this student came to school ready to learn.
