Picnic and Practice at Cheeseman Park

As we all know, their is something so sweet about a morning asana practice...so we will begin this event with a lovely outdoors practice.

After our sadhana, we will enjoy a picnic together (breakfast provided by YTOC).

Then, in the spirit of community, we will share our favorite yoga music to play in our classes. In this way, we can share something that moves us and also get new inspiration to liven up our own classes. To make this sharing session work, we ask for you to contribute to the discussion by filling out a short music survey. Click here to access the survey!

Also, in order for us to make sure we have enough food and drink for all, please RSVP by June 10 to president@ytoc.org and let us know that you will join us at the YTOC Picnic and Practice event.

Don't forget your mat, or go freestyle in the grass :)

 PRESIDENT'S CORNER

Greetings Dear Sweet Yogis!

At our May board meeting the decision was made to add a new Social Media Manager position to our board of directors. Casey Feicht, who has been serving as Website Manager, will move into the new position of Social Media Manager. I am also very excited to announce that Dr Dennie Dorall, a long time YTOC member, has agreed to join the board as our new Website Manager. Please join me in welcoming Casey and Dr Dennie into their new roles, and thank them for their willingness to serve for our all volunteer organization. Together Casey and Dr Dennie bring a great deal of wisdom and experience to us in website development and social media marketing.

In other news, we are in the process of getting the YTOC website moved to a new host. This is happening, due to problems with our current website developer and host. We have not been able to make desired updates and improvements to our website for some time now. When the change occurs, we will experience a website and email outage that may last for a couple of days. I will let you know when this is going to happen as soon as we get it all worked out. In the mean time, please bear with us and look for some improvements to our website and presence on social media sites soon.

I am also pleased to announce that Team YTOC raised over $395 dollars for the Wellness Initiative on May 5th. The fundraising event collectively raised almost $32,000 from 400 donors that will be used to provide yoga in low-income schools in Colorado. Way to go Wellness Initiative! You guys are doing some really great work.

June is going to be a very full month. I hope to see many of you at our two awesome June events! I excited to attend the morning Meditation with Shiva Rudra Balayogi (Babaji) event being held in Evergreen, at Yoga by Tysu, on the 6th. That's my Birthday, and I can't think of a better way to celebrate it!

Yours in Service,

Shari Turney
President, Yoga Teachers of Colorado

PS. If you are interested in serving on the YTOC board, or attending one of our board meetings, please let me know. Our next board of directors meeting will occur on 7/28.
