United Way Volunteers Pack Meals for Kids Against Hunger
| On Saturday, February 25, a team of 11 United Way volunteers donned hairnets and Live United t-shirts to pack meals with the nonprofit Kids Against Hunger at the Andersen Corporate Headquarters in Oak Park Heights, Minnesota. This year the food will mainly go towards the Horn of Africa and U.S. flood relief. Some of the food will also stay local--15 extra boxes of meals were already given to our Food Resource Center!
The St. Croix Valley branch of Kids Against Hunger is organized by Trinity Lutheran Church in Stillwater. 2012 marks the fifth year of the local community meal-packing event. For more information on the St. Croix Valley branch, contact Tom Thiets at 651-788-5112.
