Greetings!
| Hello and welcome to our November e-newsletter! We hope you had a happy and safe Thanksgiving with your loved ones. This month has been busy at the United Way office. Nov. 4 we held our Pillars Recognition Event at The Phipps Center for the Arts in Hudson. 59 Pillars ($1,000+ donors) and Emerging Pillars ($500-$999 donors) enjoyed refreshments and a performance of My Fair Lady. Then a few weeks later we participated in GiveMN.org's Give to the Max Day, where many of our supporters raised $6,300 in just one day! We are so thankful for everyone who has supported us, from our Pillars to our volunteers.

United We CAN Results
| |
Throughout the month of October, organizations participated in United Way St. Croix Valley's United We Can contest to help end hunger in the St. Croix Valley and to kick off United Way's fundraising campaign. Each organization used nonperishable food, paper products and personal care items to create a unique sculpture. The items were donated to the organization's local food pantry upon completion.
United Way asked each organization to submit a photo of its sculpture before donating it so participants could be recognized for their creativity and more. The final award was the People's Choice, which was voted on via United Way St. Croix Valley's website Nov. 7-11.
United Way St. Croix Valley would like to thank all participating organizations for donating more than 1,000 food, paper and personal care items to food pantries throughout the area.

Give to the Max Day Raises $6,300
| Nov. 16 was GiveMN.org's third annual Give to the Max Day fundraiser, and we are excited to announce we raised $6,300 in online and offline contributions that day, most of which will be doubled by our matching grant from the Otto Bremer Foundation.
The donations will directly benefit our local communities, providing shelter, early childhood education, support for those with disabilities, food and more. If a gift was designated, it will go directly to support that entity. Thank you so much to everyone who gave! For more information, contact Kate Smith at 715-377-0203 ext. 103 or ksmith@unitedwaystcroix.org.

Holiday Online Auction to Benefit Those in Need
| |
United Way St. Croix Valley is launching our first ever Holiday Online Auction Dec. 5-11 with a twist on the traditional auction. In addition to offering fun affordable items on our eBay site, we will also be offering bidders the chance to raise money for those in need.
For example, one night for a mother and child at Grace Place will be offered for bidding at $25. Of course, you can bid as high as you'd like to provide even more help! You can also donate in someone's name and we will provide you with a card to give them for the holidays.
