President's Message
LAURA

As 2009 draws to a close, I'm already looking forward to our 20th anniversary next year. Throughout 2010 we'll focus on our commitment to build more homes that strengthen families and California communities.

These valuable outcomes are known as "the ripple effect." With a stable, affordable home, families and seniors thrive; traffic is reduced, commutes are shortened, and students' grades improve. At our annual staff retreat, Orange County Housing and Community Services and the Los Angeles Unified School District confirmed these effects with real stories from the people we seek to serve. This is an incredible vision to be part of, and I look forward to seeing where the journey takes us next.

In The News
TCAC Reservations Awarded

Thanks to great partnerships with local city and redevelopment agency staff, Jamboree has received preliminary reservations for two developments in the 2009 allocation round of the California Tax Credit Allocation Committee. Greenleaf, a 20-unit low-income apartment community in Anaheim, was recognized in the Small Development category, and Grove Park, an acquisition/rehabilitation project in Garden Grove, received a reservation in the At Risk category. This project will preserve 104 apartments at an affordable rent level, while allowing for a significant capital re-investment.
