Jamboree Housing Corporation is pleased to announce the grand opening of Diamond Apartment Homes, our first special needs project. Diamond provides both housing and mental health supportive services for previously homeless individuals and their families. Through years of working in California communities, we have witnessed a great housing need for this population and we are proud to open a community that supports them even further by providing services.
Once again, strategic partnerships yielded great results. We co-developed Diamond with H.O.M.E.S. (Helping the Mentally Ill Experience Success) and City of Anaheim leaders displayed tremendous courage in supporting the development. Telecare will assist residents with 24/7 support of daily living activities and link residents to outside services, and Jamboree's Resident Services Group, Housing with HEART, will offer free, non-clinical, onsite resident services tailored to meet the needs of residents and their families. We look forward to exploring new ways to continue to meet the needs of California communities.

Property Developments
In February, nearly 100 people gathered to celebrate the ground breaking of The Arbor at Woodbury in Irvine. This community offers 90 families earning between
30% and 60% of the area median income a place to call home.
This month we celebrated the grand opening of our first special needs community, Diamond Apartment Homes, located in Anaheim. More than 200 gathered to celebrate the tenacity and fortitude of all partners who overcame many challenges to create what one speaker called, "a community gem." Program highlights included two residents who shared their personal stories of homelessness and how having
a home at Diamond has now given
them a new lease on life.

Founded in 1985, Orange County-based H.O.M.E.S., Inc. - a community-based 501(c)(3) - is the only nonprofit in Orange County to provide permanent supportive independent housing for adults with persistent mental illness. Its housing programs encourage independence and self-reliance by helping individuals succeed in their own local communities and beyond. In recent years, the Board has placed an added emphasis on homeless individuals with mental illness. At Jamboree's Diamond Apartment Homes in Anaheim, H.O.M.E.S. will ensure that the provision of supportive services is appropriate to meet the needs of residents. To date, H.O.M.E.S. boasts more than 400 graduates. |
