We're thrilled to share with you that our Puerto del Sol property in Long Beach is one of five national finalists in the 2009 National Association of Home Builders' Pillars of the Industry Awards for Best Affordable Apartment Community. Puerto del Sol is Jamboree's first project developed in an urban setting and we are very honored to be a finalist.
At Jamboree, we face 2009 with a reenergized, clear focus on the future, committed to addressing the needs of the residents we serve and expanding our community development efforts. To further our mission, Christine Villegas joins the Jamboree team as Community Development Manager. Christine will work closely with our city/county partners to identify ways we can help meet their unique community needs.

Jamboree's publicity efforts to shape public perception of affordable housing continue to pay off. We received more media coverage in 2008 than any previous year in our 18-year history. Recent exposure includes the California Real Estate Journal, Orange County Business Journal's Top 50 OC Nonprofits by revenue growth (Jamboree is 15th), and the Orange County Register.

More new programs, partners in 2009
Our Resident Service Coodinators continue to creat opportunities unique to each of our communities with new programs such as a morning walk club. Our strongest network of community partnerships now includes another chapter of the Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts of America for expanded youth programs and Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. for mentoring and fitness classes.
