What a fun week of Chick's Picks goodness ...
just wanted to share!
First, I met with designers & saw new products
for the September 27-29 show!!
 
 
 
Then, we got a special order ..
Customer had already purchased 1-12 etched glasses at the
Summer CP sale. And now she ordered 13-24!
Now, THAT is a party!
They will be here at Show .. or you can order online for pick up!
 
Then, I was asked to sit on a Panel
at a Washington DC Women's Seminar about Social Media Platforms.
We were each asked to send in a biography
.. well, let's put it this way ... I was "Out-BIOed!"
I mean these ladies have staffs, million dollar revenues,
and sit on Corporate boards! I was so nervous!
How do I make it sound important that I make necklace displays
and work in my jammies most days?? I just decided to wear a
fabulous necklace and teach them the "No-double-chin-photo-trick!"
After that Panel, Christy (my assistant) & I needed some retail therapy
... so off to Z Gallerie
 
where we immediately proceed to run into each other with
our big hobo purses .. and break vases ...
we felt like two 6 year old girls!
Then .. we got another special order!
We have 3 buoy designs and your house number can either be painted (if its multiple digits) or have a metal letter!
This is a "Thank you for letting Us stay at your Beach House" Gift !
THEN, it was time to
flip the house decor from summer-- shells, turquoise, rattan
to Fall --- chrome, black, grey, and ORANGE antlers!
YEP ... Christy, Zoe, the beagle pup, and I worked on my latest vision ...
to take that MUCH loved door
over my mantel and add bright orange antlers! That door has has
embroidery hoops, art, plates, felty flower & fur wreaths, mirrors, lit Christmas trees, and now ... ANTLERS! First I had to collect them ,
then position them, then drill holes em, then paint them ORANGE!
 
I would put them on the door, Zoe would take them right back off!
Then we had to Drill ...

Thank goodness for the orange seltzer bottle I picked up last spring (didn't even know why I did!!??)

we selected our September 27-29 Chick's Picks Charity!!!
BRAS!!
We will be collecting Gently Used & New Bras for
http://www.brarecycling.com/
an organization dedicated to the recycling and reuse
of used and unused bras. The
bras are distributed around the world through exporters and Bra Recycling Ambassadors to deserving women and girls in transition!
