Even though Walter has a difficult name to read he's not difficult at all to work with. In fact, as a former CFO of a public company, and with 25+ years of accounting, Controller and CFO experience Walt brings an incredible amount of knowledge to our clients.
Walter brings the strategic, global vision to the Profit Point Team. He has worked with startups in raising capital, and mid-sized businesses to manage their finances. He has completed acquisitions, equity transactions and mitigated risk at both large and small companies. His experience crosses many industries including manufacturing, distribution and services businesses and we're happy to have him onboard.

Debra Houston

Sometimes clients need the expertise of a QuickBooks ProAdvisor and the knowledge of a business person to ensure the books are right and they can get great information out of them. That's where Deb comes in.
With over 20 years of experience ranging from corporate finance, international reporting, business analysis and sales operations, Deb brings the skills from world class organizations to small and mid-sized businesses. Deb is also our resident expert on accounting workflow, so if you think that there is a better way to do something, Deb can probably figure out how to do it better, faster and more efficiently. She is also in the "peace of mind" business-- helping our clients get control over their financials by establishing financial guidelines and policies and procedures, and reviewing the books for reasonableness.

Let's face it, bookkeeping is boring. It's a necessary evil. An evil that can come back to haunt you if it isn't done the right way by someone who doesn't know what they are doing. Just ask anyone who has had to go through a "QuickBooks cleanup."
What makes us different: With our accounting services you'll have a team of professionals, overseen by a Controller, who will handle the day-to-day transactions of your business with a level of sophistication that goes beyond just data entry. That's why we call our services Bookkeeping & Beyond. Not only are our bookkeepers experts in the software packages that we use, they also understand business. From detailed job costing to proactively helping you manage your cash balances, our team will keep your books up to date so that you can focus on managing--and growing--your business.
If you have a bookkeeper on staff already and you find that you are spending a lot of time managing him or her-- time that would be better spent developing new products or finding new customers, we can provide the oversight of the bookkeeping function as your part-time Controller. We'll review your accounting processes and train your bookkeeper on the proper way to record transactions. We'll set up guidelines to streamline the accounting workflow and review the books at the end of every month to ensure that transactions are recorded properly. You'll have the oversight of the bookkeeping function so that you can focus on your business--not on your books.
