Celebrating Summer Food with Oregon's Kids
The Summer Food Program has wrapped up this year and it's been a wonderful success! We were thrilled to support champions across the state in serving nutritious meals to kids and - for the first time in history - to celebrate having a Summer Food program in every single county!

We are grateful for the amazing contributions by program partners, funders, child advocates, sponsors, and countless others who went above and beyond to make sure hungry kids are fed in communities across Oregon. It takes all of us working together.

If you didn't get a chance to visit a Summer Food site for yourself, check out this video. What a great summer!

Grants Available To Help Feed Kids In After-school Settings

Do you work for an after-school program that struggles to feed kids along with offering educational programming? Oregon has one-time grant funds available to help after-school sponsors cover start-up costs for the At-Risk After-school Meal and Snack Program. Funds are also available for sponsors who are currently operating the program, but need help expanding so more kids can eat.

Requests for funds can be up to $10,000 per organization. Applications accepted from July 1, 2012 - February 28, 2013, or until all grant funds have been expended, so submit your proposal soon!
