We have the honor of welcoming Alicia Philpot to her new role as Board Chair for Partners for a Hunger-Free Oregon.Alicia Philpot photo

Alicia is a founding member of Partners for a Hunger-Free Oregon and joined the board in 2008. With a Bachelors in History from the University of California and a teaching certificate and Masters from PSU, she has a long interest in citizen participation in government and community service. She served as a city planning commissioner in Southern California and worked in the Washington, DC area for a nonprofit organization promoting good government.

In Oregon, Alicia worked as legislative aide for a state senator in Salem, did work for the Oregon Health Division, and spent three years in the Governor's office doing community outreach on health and human service projects. She served eight years as executive director of the Oregon Pediatric Society. Opting for partial retirement in 2010, she continued representing the Society as a legislative liaison until her full retirement last year.

Thank you, Alicia, for your generous spirit and devotion to our mission of ending hunger in Oregon!
