Summer is around the corner - help feed kids
|
Summer is the time of year when kids are most at risk of hunger. Last year we worked hard so Oregon youth had a fun, safe place to spend their break with a free, healthy meal.
- We assisted 32 groups, through small grants and expertise. They served over 500,000 meals - up 25%!
- We helped open 28 new meal sites across the state.
- 10,000 people used our website to find the summer meal location nearest them- almost double the year before.

Want to serve summer meals?
There is still time! Contact us now if your organization wants to sponsor the Summer Food Service Program.  A mandatory state training is coming up in early March - we'll help you sign up.
Grants Available!
If your organization needs start-up funds, Partners for a Hunger-Free Oregon is pleased to again offer small grants to summer meal providers. Read the funding guidelines and complete our new online application by April 20th.

Feed kids after school or during the summer? Want to learn how to help meal programs? Join us in Lincoln City April 5th. Don't miss this fantastic opportunity to network, exchange ideas, and collaborate with program operators and partners across the state. In workshops led by on-the-ground experts you'll hear how programs are successfully fighting childhood hunger and exciting ways to gear up for 2012.
