OPEN ENROLLMENT for Health Insurance
December is the time to update or change your health insurance. The new rates for all Health insurance plans offered by the Chamber will be available online. Please note that if you are a CDPHP subscriber there are several changes taking place to the plans. CDPHP and the Chamber have redesigned the offerings available to the Chamber. CAPITAL REGION ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT COUNCIL AWARDED $62.7 MILLION The Capital Region was awarded $62.7 million at last weekat the Regional Council Awards Ceremony, the result of a competition in which New York's ten regions created five-year Strategic Plans for economic growth. Local author and Town of Bethlehem Historian, Susan Leath has written the latest addition in the Images of America series titled Bethlehem.
The 128-page softcover book features images from the late 1800s to mid-1900s tell the story of the community's history through its many hamlets, including Delmar, Elsmere, Glenmont, Selkirk, Slingerlands, and North and South Bethlehem. Photographs of churches, schools, blacksmith shops, hotels, farmhouses, and elaborate summer homes illustrate Bethlehem's journey from a rural farming community to a bustling modern suburb. Available November 14th at independent booksellers and area retailers, including I Love Books in Delmar. Leath will donate her royalties from the book to the Bethlehem Historical Association.

The Floral Garden will offer Winter Design Floral classes on Dec. 14th and 15th . Many sample ideas to choose from, class is $40. Call to reserve your spot at 478-7232.
Perfect Blend Cafe will host live music on Friday, Dec. 16th with "The Wheel" (rock 'n roll) and Friday, Dec. 23rd with "Playin' With Fire Band" (acoustic show). Admission is free and will begin at 7pm.
The Delmar Community Orchestra, under the direction of Michael Blostein, will present a Holiday Concert on Monday, Dec. 19th at 7:30pm at the Bethlehem Town Hall. The concert will include classical selections, show tunes, and holiday favorites, is free and open to the public. Community Christmas Day Dinner, Sunday, Dec. 25 from 1:30pm sponsored by the First United Methodist Church, the Town of Bethlehem Senior Services, many area churches, organizations and individuals. The turkey and ham dinner is open to all Town of Bethlehem residents who wish to participate. The festivities will be held at the First United Methodist Church on Kenwood Ave in Delmar. There is no fee for the dinner, however a goodwill offering will be accepted.
