Advance Purchases - Payment Obligations Clarified!

Advance purchasing not only ensures that needed materials and equipment are available for a project, but also protects against escalating prices and possible future shortages. As owners increase their demands for advance purchases, subcontractors should keep their proverbial eye on the "payment ball." Read on ...

thankyou ASA/FASA Circle Club Offers Recognition Throughout '08-'09
After a successful inaugural year with over 300 individuals and companies recognized for their contributions, the ASA/FASA Circle Club cleared its membership rolls at the beginning of the fiscal year on July 1, 2008. Now's the best time to become recognized as a Circle Club member in 2008-09. Contributing early has its advantages, including recognition throughout the fiscal year at ASA/FASA events, on the Web, and in periodicals.

To be recognized as a 2008-09 Circle Club member, simply contribute to any of the following ASA and FASA funds: Subcontractors Legal Defense Fund ~ Cornerstone Club ~ Chapter Scholarship Fund ~ ASA-Political Action Committee ~ ASA-Political Action Committee Administrative Fund ~ FASA General Fund ~ Contractors' Knowledge Quest

Bay Area Chapter members had a strong showing in the Circle Club for 2007-08. Let's continue the trend in 2008-09! ASA and FASA thank the following members in the Bay Area Chapter for their generosity during the 2007-08 year: Case Pacific Company, Drill Tech Drilling & Shoring, Inc., Horizon Sheet Metal, Inc., Jerry Thompson & Sons Painting, Metropolitan Electrical Construction, Inc., TRM Corporation, Chrisp Company and Walters & Wolf.
