McClelland and Whitfield to Speak at Excelapalooza

BizNet's 3-Day User Conference Begins October 28 

 

K2 associates L.A. "Mac" McClelland and Chris Whitfield will be presenting sessions at Excelapalooza, BizNet Software, Inc.'s first Excel user conference. BizNet Software is a leader for Microsoft Excel in-memory reporting and business intelligence. The conference will be held October 28-30, 2012 at the Four Seasons Resort and Club Dallas in Las Colinas, Texas. Excelapalooza will feature presentations and unique training sessions from Excel experts, as well as present a detailed look into BizNet's 100% Excel-based Business Information Suite.

Mobile Data - Shared Plans

Now may be time to review the way you and your organization purchase mobile data access for use with smartphones, tablet devices, and laptop computers. The mobile telephone giants are creating data plan packages that have higher monthly data usage ceilings and allow multiple users to share data plan connectivity. In many cases these shared plans include unlimited talk and text, reducing costs for subscribers. The four national players in the cellular market are Verizon, AT&T, Sprint, and T-Mobile. Three of the four, T-Mobile being the exception, offer shared plans for service and more specifically for data; following is a look at the packages available from each

Microsoft Updates Corporate Logo

For the first time in twenty-five years, Microsoft Corporation has updated its company logo. The new logo takes on the "flatter" look of Windows 8 and Office 2013.

 

Apple Wins Suit Against Samsung

Samsung Ordered to Pay Apple $1.05 Billion

 

After a year of intense litigation, a jury has ordered Samsung to pay Apple $1.05 billion in damages for infringing upon patents associated with Apple's iPhone and iPad product lines. Apple first filed the suit in April of 2011 and was seeking $2.5 billion in damages, and Samsung counter-sued, seeking damages of $399 million
