Office 2013 - A First Glance

On July 16, Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer unveiled to all the Customer Preview (beta) of Microsoft Office 2013, the latest release of the venerable Microsoft Office suite. Although a final release date is not available yet (many analysts expect an early 2013 release), anyone who desires to get a sneak peek or conduct testing may download and install the Customer Preview edition by visiting http://www.microsoft.com/office/preview/en. Having done so, the following comments summarize a few of K2's Tommy Stephens' initial observations and testing of Office 2013. Between now and general availability, he will keep you posted on other findings.

Five Things You May Not Know About the Android Operating System

Android The two significant mobile operating systems in the smartphone space are Apple's iOS for the iPhone and Android, the smartphone operating system created by Google. The Android system is not hardware specific and therefore is available on a variety of smartphone devices. Because of this, Android holds a bit of a market share lead over the iOS, with approximately 47% of the market compared to 42% for the Apple offering. The remaining 11% is divided up by all others, such as Windows Mobile and RIM. Because Android is one of the big players in the smartphone realm, we thought it would be appropriate to provide a look at some of the features available when using an Android powered device.
