Five Tips for Securing Your iPad

The iPad became available in April of 2010 and has, in just a short period, become a sizable and growing component of the business computing landscape. Many people store significant and important content on their iPads so it is readily available when they are on the go. Further, because these units connect to the Internet, many iPad users access information stored in the cloud from their devices. These abilities make the iPad a powerful tool for business professionals in virtually all fields. They, however, open the door for security issues that are very real and problematic.

Google Acquires Quickoffice

On June 5, Google announced that it is acquiring Quickoffice, the publisher of a widely used suite of mobile apps that provides spreadsheet, word processing, and presentation functions on a variety of devices. With over 400 million devices currently equipped with Quickoffice, virtually all analysts expect the acquisition to escalate the burgeoning rivalry between Google and Microsoft as Quickoffice apps can open and edit data files created in Microsoft Office applications.

Results Announces Integration with ShareFile

Results Software has announced integration of the ShareFile cloud-based document storage and file sharing service with its Results CRM solution. This integration enables users to send, receive, sync, and share large files with anyone, from anywhere, and using any device - all within a highly secure space.
