Using Excel to Identify Entries that Add to a Specific Value
Have you ever encountered a large number of transactions and needed to find which of those transactions added to a specific amount? If so, then you've likely engaged in a tiresome and time-consuming manual trial-and-error process and may not have been able to find the right solution. Fortunately, as demonstrated in this tip, using Excel's Solver tool to find the right answer makes short work of this task.
Emailing a Single Excel Worksheet
Many times, business professionals need to email a single Excel worksheet - and not an entire workbook - to an associate, client, customer, or third-party. While there are multiple ways to complete this task, selecting the best way is contingent upon whether you want the recipient to retain worksheet capabilities. In this tip, we will show you two of the quickest and easiest ways to accomplish this task. Though macros are another option, in this tip, we will focus only on solutions that do not involve macros.
Creating and Using Custom Styles in Excel
Suppose you have applied a number of formats to a particular cell or range of cells, in Excel, and you wish to save these formats for use in the future. You can do so by saving a Custom Style and then making that Style available in future workbooks. In this tip, you will learn how to save a Custom Style in Excel and merge the new style into other workbooks.
