Pinning a Folder to the Explorer Jump List in Windows 7
Oftentimes there is a folder that we need to access frequently. In many cases, this folder might be several layers deep in our Documents folder or Documents library in Windows 7. Fortunately, we can "pin" frequently used folders to the Jump List in Explorer with just a few quick mouse clicks.

Creating Many PivotTables From One
Suppose you have created an Excel PivotTable that summarizes sales data by quarter, by product line, and by item. Further, suppose that you have added a Report Filter to the PivotTable that allows you to filter by Region. Now, in anticipation of a staff meeting with all of the Regional managers, you would like to create a separate PivotTable for each Region so you will find yourself constantly changing the Report Filter. Is there an easy way to quickly create many PivotTables from one? Of course - it goes by the funny name of Show Report Filter Pages.

Getting the Green Light Conditional Format in Excel Worksheets
As many Excel 2007 and Excel 2010 users know, one of the enhanced conditional formats available in those versions of Excel is that of traffic lights. Traffic light conditional formats allow users to segment or stratify data into three tiers - red light, yellow light, and green light. But what if we only wanted to see just the data that meets the green light criteria? How can we modify the conditional formatting rules in Excel 2007/2010 to change the way traffic light conditional formatting is applied? Fortunately, the answer is quite simple.

Internet Explorer 9 Release Reignites Browser Wars
Coming on the heels of Google's release of a new version of Chrome and shortly before Mozilla's release of a new version of Firefox, Microsoft released Internet Explorer 9 (IE9) on March 14, indicating that browser wars are not likely to disappear anytime soon. With competition heating up on the cloud computing front, look for the battle over browsers to escalate, as Microsoft, Google, Mozilla, and others all vie to provide the browser used by most people to access the cloud.
