Customizing the Ribbon in Office 2010

One of the best new features in Microsoft Office 2010 is the ability to customize the Ribbon, particularly for those users transitioning from Office 2003 or prior into the newest version of Microsoft Office. When transitioning out of a legacy version of Office into Office 2010, Microsoft's new Fluent user interface (UI) can become a productivity-squelching quagmire for those who are not fully-versed in the best ways to use it. Fortunately, users of all applications in Office 2010 can customize the Ribbon to meet their specific needs.

Working with Quick Steps in Outlook 2010

Repetitive, multistep procedures can be converted to single clicks with Quick Steps, a new feature in Outlook 2010. For example, if users initiate messages to their managers frequently, the conventional process requires opening and addressing a new message before composing the message itself. A custom Quick Step can eliminate the first two steps in the process.

Thomson Reuters Surpasses Half a Million Client Portals

  
The Tax & Accounting business of Thomson Reuters has announced that its users have implemented more than 500,000 client portals, an increase of over 200,000 portals in the past year alone. The data shows that the rate of adoption of Thomson Reuters client portals has more than doubled compared to the previous year.
