Using Check Boxes To Select Items In Windows 7 And Windows Vista

By default, in both Windows 7 and Windows Vista, to select multiple items in a folder, users must use a combination of the CTRL key and mouse clicks or the SHIFT key and mouse clicks. Microsoft Announces
Office 2010 Pricing

Microsoft has unveiled pricing on the upcoming retail editions of Microsoft Office 2010 and, in the process of doing so, also indicated that it would not offer "upgrade" pricing on the desktop productivity suite. As a result, Office users should carefully plan and consider their upgrade strategy into Office 2010, as a short-sighted strategy might prove to be costly in the long run.

Microsoft is trimming the number of retail editions of Office 2010 to three, as compared to five in Office 2007:
  • Office 2010 Home and Student
  • Office 2010 Home and Business
  • Office 2010 Professional

The Value Of On-Site
Technology Training

Most likely, you receive this newsletter because at some point in the past you attended a K2 Enterprises continuing professional education (CPE) training session sponsored by a state CPA society or similar organization. Delivering timely, relevant, and practical technology-related training courses through state CPA societies is something in which we take great pride. However, what you may not have realized is that in addition to offering our courses through state CPA societies in "public" venues, we also offer these courses as private, on-site learning opportunities where the value of the content can increase substantially.

CCH Updates IntelliConnect™

CCH, a Wolters Kluwer business, has updated IntelliConnect, the Company's research platform for tax and accounting professionals. The enhancements in this update allow users to get their results faster and speed through their research quicker.  In addition to improved speed and performance, the enhancements also include the ability to apply multiple filters to a single search and the ability to collapse quickly the browse tree and shortcuts to adjoining documents. Additionally, IntelliConnect users have access to a new "Nearby Documents" tool, allowing access to documents without having to leave the search results list.

GoSystem Tax Now Links With Intacct

The Tax & Accounting business of Thomson Reuters announced new integration between GoSystem Tax RS web-based tax preparation software and Intacct's web-based accounting software. GoSystem Tax RS users can now synchronize data between the two applications, including charts of accounts, trial balances, transaction details and more.
