Generating Departmental and Fund Balance Sheets in Quickbooks
Books users have long utilized QuickBooks' Class tracking feature to generate income statements on departmental, fund, divisional, location, or other segmented bases. However, Class tracking has not provided an solution for generating balance sheets at the same levels, forcing QuickBooks users to develop workarounds, including extensively modifying the Chart of Accounts. For those using the Intuit Statement Writer (ISW) add-on for QuickBooks Premier Accountant Edition 2009 or QuickBooks Enterprise Solutions v.9, segmented balance sheets are standard fare.

Bullet graphs provide readers of financial statements, dashboards, operational summaries, and other reports with the ability to view a large amount of data in a small space.
Using Accelerators in Internet Explorer 8
One of the new features in Internet Explorer 8 is that of Accelerators. Accelerators allow IE8 users to quickly perform tasks that previously required numerous keystrokes. Examples of tasks that Accerlerators enhance include locating a map of an address, emailing selected text to others, blogging an item selected in IE8, and searching for a term across the internet.

 Internet Explorer 8 Now Available for
Microsoft has released Internet Explorer 8, the latest version of Microsoft's web browser. According to Microsoft, new IE8 features include:· InPrivate Browsing· InPrivate Filtering· SmartScreen Filter· Enhanced "Find on this Page"· Redesigned "New Tab" Page· Enhanced Address Bar· Enhanced Tabbed Browsing
Other browsers have encroached on Microsoft's market share in the browser space in recent years. Whereas just as recently as 2005, Internet Explorer commanded almost 90% of the market, as of February 2009 its share has dropped to 67%, according to Net Applications (www.netapplications.com).

| FASB Codification Launches July 1, 2009
The Financial Accounting Standards Board Accounting Standards Codification will officially launch on July 1, 2009. As of that date, the Codification will be the single source of authoritative guidance on accounting standards in the United States. The Codification is a web-based database of accounting standards for nongovernmental entities, reorganizing thousands of earlier pronouncements into roughly 90 searchable topics.  AT&T Offers No-Contract iPhone
As reported through multiple news outlets - for those wanting an iPhone, but not a two-year AT&T contract, there is some good news: AT&T is now offering the very popular iPhone without requiring customers to commit to the two-year contract. Priced at $599 to $699, depending upon the version of the phone selected, customers can purchase no-contract iPhones. The phones are still tied to AT&T's network and a regular AT&T iPhone account is required to activate the phone.
