Center releases updated analysis for its National Pollutant Removal Performance Database:
Pollutant Removal Database Report v.3

Ellicott City, MD - The Center for Watershed Protection has updated its National Pollutant Removal Performance Database, Ver. 2, published in 2000, to include an additional 27 studies published through 2006. The updated database was statistically analyzed to derive the median and quartile removal values for each major group of stormwater BMPs. The brief technical paper presents the data as box and whisker plots for the various pollutants found in stormwater runoff.

This Pollutant Removal Database Report is now available for direct free download as a PDF from the Center website.  

In the coming months, the Center website will include some of the studies referenced in this new version along with other supporting materials.

Urban Stormwater Retrofit Practices

Don't forget to download Manual 3 of the Urban Subwatershed Restoration Manual Series!  There was such a high demand for this manual on the day of its release, many of you had difficulty in reaching the download.  Please keep trying, and consider downloading the manual a few days after this email, or before or after the typical business day. 

This manual outlines the basics of retrofits, describes the 13 unique locations where they can be found, and presents rapid methods to find, design and deliver retrofits to meet a wide range of subwatershed objectives.

A hard copy of this manual will be made available, but a timeline has not yet been set.  We will send an email out about how to receive a copy when they have been produced.
