 Tip:   Create a Safe Space

One of the great joys of conversing is to hear the unique stories of others.

However, you won't get to hear such stories if you've not safe to talk to.

Unsafe includes being: argumentative; interruptive; competitive; indifferent; arrogant; self-centered; angry; self-righteous. Or if you always have to be right; are a know-it-all; give unsolicited advice; proselytize; "improve" others.

Actually, creating a safe space is pretty simple. Safety mainly includes an attitude of acceptance, genuine curiosity, and quality listening. That's about it.

(If you have the confidence to be humble, you'll add something extra-special.)

When you create safe space for conversation, you evoke deeper, more meaningful talk.

Until next week,

Loren
