Asking is a critical conversation skill.
And it is sometimes an act of daring.
Asking for information (instead of remaining ignorant)
Asking for clarification (instead of remaining unclear)
Asking for the sale (instead of assuming the customer will buy)
Asking for what you want (instead of merely hinting and expecting others to read your mind)
Asking for feedback on your performance in any endeavor, from your tennis footwork and piano playing to your work on the job.
Today, by way of example, I'm asking you for feedback about my tips and articles. Without a sample of honest feedback I cannot be aware of what's working and what isn't working and thus cannot improve.
So: How am I doing? With the relevance of topics I choose. With the topics you'd like but I've missed. With the reading time of issues. With the practicality of ideas I write about.
Would you please take a few minutes to let me know how I'm doing? Send your comments to [email protected]. Doing this will help me improve.
Many thanks!
