Time Out Is Now Over | |
I have been offline for several weeks as I drove
a 16-ft Penske truck from Las Vegas to NY State.
Daunting journey. Once in a lifetime. Really, only once.
I'll write about my travel encounters in a later issue. |
Conversation Quotation
"If A equals success, then the formula A = X + Y + Z.
X is work. Y is play. Z is keep your mouth shut."
--Albert Einstein |
Tip: Keep Quiet Sometimes
We do a lot of talking. Commanding. Ordering. Bossing.
Directing. If we spent a portion of that time thinking, we'd be far more productive. Even more likeable.
There is a time for quiet. For contemplation. To cool down.
To prepare for action or thought or diagnosis. Quiet often
brings a peace of its own; a time to reflect, to strengthen,
to forgive.
Try this thought:
"I want to inhibit my speech today. I want to find out what
happens when I'm more introspective and less extraverted
in my activities." |
