PHA Resident-owned Business Achieves $8,771,802 in Construction Contracts | |

The Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) classifies a Resident-owned Business (ROB) as a business owned by a person who resides in a Public Housing developments such as properties owned and operated by the Housing Authority of the City of New Haven (HANH).
From 2007 to 2011, HANH has assisted ROB's in being awarded construction contracts in excess of over $8 million. The principle members of ROB's must reside in Public Housing developments in New Haven. This endeavor of providing assistance to ROB's is an effort to assist them in becoming self-sufficient economically.
