Phoenix Day has received a First Things First grant to expand Health Links to the north and southeast valley.

We will be part of a coalition of seven organizations to expand needed services to low income families, i.e.: health insurance, (AHCCCS), food stamps, and temporary cash assistance.

Funds will cover the cost of hiring an additional HealthLinks Coordinator.
Central Park Community Garden

With the support of a grant from St. Luke's Health Initiatives, advocacy from Phoenix Revitalization Corporation and the hard work of several Central Park neighbors, lots of exciting opportunities are on the cusp of happening in our neighborhood.

A community garden will be started in partnership with the Primera Iglesa Metodista a Unida on Grant and 1st Sts.  A neighborhood association  will be re-organized and action toward a speed hump on 1st Street will be initiated.
