Dear Friends,

Have you ever thought about officiating at weddings as a profession or side interest? You may never have given it serious thought.  Yet, if it resonates with you on some level, I am offering you an opportunity to explore the possibility.  I have one space left for the next class (to be scheduled on an upcoming weekend).  

How This Idea Came To Be...

On several occasions, a few people mentioned to me that they would "love to do what I do" and become a wedding officiant but they didn't know where to start.    

I remembered how long it took me to "figure it all out" in the beginning.  I knew that if I compiled all that I have learned over the last ten years (over 600 ceremonies), I could create a system to share everything I know about conducting a wedding ceremony. 

I then created a method, a curriculum, and a manual.  I eventually held a workshop, during which I showed the trainees how to get the documentation necessary to become licensed in the state to perform legal ceremonies.  I taught them about traditional wedding ceremonies, vow renewals, and same sex commitment ceremonies.  At the end of the day, everyone conducted a full ceremony. One person even performed a vow renewal for her neighbors the week after the class!

In this one-day training you will receive:

•  A printed manual containing ceremony samples, ceremony templates, vow renewal templates, prayer samples (Christian and Spiritual), vow samples, Bible verse samples, popular wedding poems, topics for what to say to the couple, ceremony components, etc.

• A CD of the manual in Word format, so you can cut and paste and easily create your own ceremonies on your computer.

• Information on how to get licensed in the State of Hawaii, so you can legally officiate at weddings.  You will apply for your ordination letter at the end of class.

• A day filled with instruction, guidance, information, fun, and practice, practice, practice.

By the end of the day, you will have enough information to conduct a full ceremony.  In order to "graduate," you must perform a mock ceremony for the other trainees at a later date!

As part of this training program I offer:

• A two-hour follow-up class about two months later, during which you will create and perform your own ceremony. You may invite a few friends to be a part of this day to stand in as brides, grooms and fathers of the bride.

• You will be able to join me at ceremonies, wedding consultations or rehearsals, to observe, and refine your style.  

• If you complete all my requirements and desire to do this as a business, you can opt to have a space on my Recommended Minister Page.

My schedule is flexible and it takes only three or more people to conduct a day of training.  I currently have two people interested in a class.
