Welcome to our July, 2009 E-News From Behind The Moon. I hope this edition finds you well  and enjoying the amazing Colorado sunshine and afternoon rain showers. My family and I just returned from a 10-day vacation to Capistrano Beach, CA. These are our sons, Jakob & Ethan. We spent much time at the beach or poolside, one day at California Adventure and visiting family and friends all along the way. I hope you have a fun get away trip planned too!
About Us... Behind The Moon (BTM) provides business owners a unique opportunity to meet new people, expand their referral network, glean advice from other business owners, and unearth a support group of peers who have been there, done that. As with other networking groups, membership and referrals are never required and we do not limit participation at our networking events by industry. All are welcome to attend.

Thank You... As we celebrate our 5th anniversary, I reflect back on the time when I intentionally and purposefully set out to bring BTM's Mission to realization. I certainly had much help along the way and have many to thank. First, I give thanks to the more than 2,500 who have participated in BTM networking events over the last 5 years. Second, I appreciate each and every Member who has joined our program, referred their colleagues and helped others grow their business. Third, I express my sincere gratitude to our Event Hosts who maintain BTM's uniformity and reinforce a hospitable, gracious, and productive event atmosphere. Fourth, my gratitude goes to Nicole, my loyal virtual assistant who runs much of what goes on behind the scenes and keeps me in line (hard to do). Finally, I am indebted to BTM's Power Panel of Advisors for their immeasurable guidance and support every step of the way. Without the efforts of ALL involved, Behind The Moon would not be where it is today.

Born in Boston, Massachusetts, I moved to Denver at the age of 9 and have lived here ever since. I currently reside in Golden with my wife Dori. After graduating from Metro State College of Denver with degrees in Psychology and Spanish, I furthered my education by obtaining a masters degree from the University of Denver and became a high school teacher and football coach. Tips For A Successful Joint Venture

Team building for a business generally implies developing a company's human resources to deliver the best possible results. However team building is not merely about developing your own company as a team, it is also about working as a team with other businesses. A joint venture, known more commonly as a JV, is all about teamwork with other businesses to further common goals and interests. A JV is all about business expansion, resource optimization and is not restricted in participation to just two sets of individuals or companies. It hardly needs to be mentioned that when you choose a partner for a joint venture, it is best if you select partners with solid reputations, and are people you can trust due to their high levels of integrity. Joint ventures require a lot of effort in getting off the ground in terms of human resource development and team building as any relationship needs a lot of nurturing to grow. Trust and integrity are important keywords and both the organizations involved should stick to their promises, not do anything unethical and work towards building an atmosphere of trust.
