You are seeding your reality with the thoughts you think.

The stories you tell and replay about your life create your life.

Tend to your thoughts with precision and loving attention.

Allow the thoughts that support who you are in the grandest sense
be the ones to dance in your mind and flow out through your words.

Then rest and watch THOSE thoughts take root and flower.

,

I've been asking for clarity lately and I know better.  We've all heard the advice to "be careful for what you ask for because you just may get it." Well, my solid belief is that we ALWAYS get what we ask for - every single time.  (And my latest request was no exception.)

The gift of personal clarity came as a result of being evacuated from our close-in mountain home a few weeks ago because of our proximity to the Fourmile fire.  I don't think I'd necessarily pick that delivery system the next time I'm seeking clarity about my life, but it sure was effective! read more here...

At every phase, clarity plays a role.  There is always the possibility of reinvention, or reorienting around that which is most important to you. And, as usual, we have opportunities and support for you in doing so.

Another Weave your Dream Intensive begins on November 10th with my colleague, Lisamarie Wand.   Reserve your spot in this unique and powerful class before Oct. 29 and save $$ in an investment that will forever change the way you view your world.

One past participant said this about the class:

"My experience in this class has affirmed and ignited a deeply intuitive sense that another way is possible and necessary. I see how steeped in the old ways my psyche has been and it feels so amazing to let that go... lifting the lid/pulling the curtains back/shedding light on these dark passageways of old thought patterns makes it easier to let go."

and this...

"WOW! What worked really is the feminine wisdom, which is a whole other way of seeing and being in the world. Actually, I think it all worked for me... lots of great tools to work with on an ongoing basis."

Thank you to all of you who have placed your trust in me with the referrals you have sent recently!  I am serious about the impact I want to make on women ready to commit to the process of loving themselves enough to tap into their gifts and abundantly share them with the world. Your referrals and general support are both so essential in making that happen. Thank you again!

To further our reach, we will be rolling out an online coaching program at the start of the new year which will contain a synopsis of the main teachings that are building block essentials that I've covered with my individual coaching clients over the years.  This program is perfect for those who want to have the Whole Life Coaching principles available to them for their own self-guided study and use.

Take a quick survey here and tailor this upcoming program to your own needs! (and everyone who fills it out has the option to receive a free gift!)

As always, if there is anything you would like to see specifically addressed either in an upcoming program or even in a newsletter, either take the survey above or just send an email and tell us what's on your mind.

Delightfully,
Stephanie

How To Say "NO" So You Can Say "YES!"

One of my (actual) friends wrote in Facebook today, "Anyone know where to sign up for the workshop on "How to say NO"?

So, being one to work with what is present, I thought a quick mention of this might be useful to at least the handful of women who eagerly responded also wanting to know where such a workshop was taking place.

Isn't it funny that it's such a challenge to so many people to utter one of the smallest words in the English language?  Go ahead and try it with me. "NO".  How does that feel?  If you have a three year old child, you've probably become quite practiced at saying it.  Yet it seems that those with three year-old children might just be those who are craving the ability to use the word in the rest of their lives the most!

We've allowed ourselves to become overcommitted, exhausted, depleted, and overworked.  There is no favoritism showed to those women who work outside of the home or to those who work inside the home - everyone is feeling the effects of being out of whack equally. And it's all equally as dangerous.

One of the most important life balance skills I work on with women is the creation of healthy boundaries. And here's the rub - healthy will mean different things to every individual.  There is no prescription for healthy other than what feels right to the individual. So there's some work to do upfront to discover your true place in this issue.

If you're feeling overworked and overburdened, you can trust that you are!  This may seem obvious to some, but it is a common ailment for women to distrust what they are feeling. When one woman looks at others' lives from the outside and assumes they have it "together", the faulty comparisons  begin.  From this limited perspective, a well-intentioned woman might assume she shouldn't feel like she does and should have it all together. From the outside, others' hair may be perfectly coiffed, others may always get their kids at school on time and perhaps it seems that everyone else always has a fresh cup of Starbuck's in their hand (which only signifies they had extra time to stop for coffee), but this is only from the outside! When viewing others in this manner it is easy to feel that you are the only one who feels comletely spent.

Stop. Take a breath.

Step back and reassess.  So you're feeling overcommitted.  How did that happen?  It's simple!  You said YES to too many things that drain your precious life energy.  I know what comes next. "But if I don't do it, who will?"  The answer may be hard to hear, and it is that it's actually none of your concern. Your concern is to take care of your most precious resource  - you!  If you're not caring for yourself adequately, everything around you (including your relationships) suffer(s).

In the meantime, as you are refilling your metaphorical dry-as-a-bone cup, let the task of the moment be done by someone who is happy, or at least internally able, to say YES at this time. Someone perhaps who has recently discovered for themselves that she wants to see what's it's like to try on her new time management goals, or her new leadership skills, or who just plain loves driving!  When you do this, everyone around you, including the person who said YES, will benefit.

And remember, if you're not the least bit intrinsically motivated to be on for carpool, to take the lead on the project, to volunteer at your child's school, I hate to break it to you, but you're probably not the best person for the job either!

When you step back, ask yourself:
1) What areas of your life are most important to you right now (Career, Family, Friends, Money, Health, Personal Growth, Signifcant Other/Romance, Fun)?

2) When you are loving that area of your life in particular, or you have the overall flow that feels amazing, what is it like?  What is happening? What is different from now?

3) What are three things you can do TODAY to allow that to be more of your reality?  How can you allow yourself to perhaps feel that way now rather than waiting for that time to come in order to feel good?

The above questions help you discover to what in your life you are ready to say YES.  The key is to continue to hold your focus on that.

And here's a tip on saying no.  Just say it.  Say "NO, I can't" and then be quiet. This will require some inner fortitude. Do not utter another word or excuse or apologetic look. If that's too harsh for you right away, try this:  "I'm so sorry, but it won't work for me."  Then give yourself an inner high five because you just made your true "YES's" even more powerful and possible.

And here's a loving homework assignment if you are currently one to say yes before you know what's happening.  Take some time to give your answer and go back to your visioning about what really matters right now.  Ask yourself, "By saying yes to this what would I be saying no to?"  And the opposite, "By saying no to this, what might I be saying yes to?"

See what you discover and act on your behalf.  It's up to you!

And a challenge for you: See if you can say 'NO' 15 times this week. :)  It's great practice!  I'd love to hear what you discover for yourself if you take on this challenge!
