Wellness Kick-Off is January 20! | |
The Heinrich Center for Wellness Ministry and Education is sponsoring a Wellness Kick-off (Fit2Lead) on Thursday, January 20, from 10 a.m. to 12 noon in Thie Fellowship Hall at the Seminary. Come and see what exciting things United will be offering! Expect a fun-filled time with door prizes, dance instructions, other demonstrations, snacks and discussion on self-care. The event is open to all.

Feb. 9: Women in Leadership Prayer Breakfast | |
The second Women in Leadership Prayer Breakfast will be held on Wednesday, Feb. 9, from 7- 8:30 a.m. in Thie Fellowship Hall. The speaker is United's President, Dr. Wendy Deichmann.
There will be a drawing for a book and following the breakfast, a health screening will be available to all interested participants. Please, make reservations by emailing institute@united.edu. The cost is $5. |
Online Teaching Courses Begin in February | |
Need to be able to design and teach a course online? lf so, you may want to invest some time to learn online teaching skills from some of the most knowledgeable instructors in the field of theological distance education.
United's OTLC (Online Teaching and Learning Certificate) is becoming recognized in distance learning Theological settings. It offers faculty a chance to earn a certificate in about five months completely online and helps instructors develop and demonstrate teaching skills that really work online.
United awarded 17 professional OTLC certificates last year. We start new course offerings beginning February 7. If you would like to develop online teaching skills, or know someone who would, please visit Online Teaching and Learning Certificate. |
