BID and DATO have ambitious plans for promoting Downtown events in 2010:
The BID's priorities for the coming year include more of what's working well. Expect BID to continue its strong support of Downtown events with preference to enhancing shoulder seasons and attracting new visitors from regional drive markets. Working closely with the Durango Area Tourism Office (DATO), BID plans more coordinated marketing and PR efforts in order to increase awareness of many of Durango's established signature events. |
Resolve to be better informed in 2010. Here's how:
· The City's monthly "What's Up Downtown?" meeting will be held THIS FRIDAY, Jan. 8, at 8:30 a.m., in City Hall council chambers. Hear updates on issues, projects and events.
· Log onto www.DowntownDurango.org and explore the new BID web site. Your comments and feedback are welcome.
· BID's 1st quarter 2010 newsletter is coming out soon. Call 375.5067 to be added to our mailing list.
· Watch Talk of the Town. The program airs on Bresnan Cable Channel 10 as well as online. Log on to www.durangogov.org/cityspan10.

The next snowstorm:
The City thanks Downtown merchants for quickly responding and moving snow off sidewalks (from buildings to curbs) and onto Main Avenue for nighttime plowing. |
Street closure:
Jan. 29 - Snowdown Parade - Main Avenue will be closed at 5 p.m. Parade time is 6 to 8 p.m. |
Perform at a higher level:
Time management -"Everyone uses time efficiently, few use time effectively."
· Make a daily "to-do" list
· Apply the "A-B-C" method |
