BID budget approved by City Council:
The Downtown Business Improvement District received the green light from City Council to move forward with its 2010 action plans to spend $240,000 on Downtown programs and promotions. In the coming year, the BID will continue investing in special events, sponsoring its seasonal umbrella promotions like HOLiDAZZLE, providing information services for Downtown visitors, reaching out with a host of print and on-line communications programs, and investment in clean, safe and beautifying capital projects. |

BID board seats available:
Two of the five director seats on the BID board are up for renewal in 2010. Service term is three years, with some eligibility requirements, plus an obligation to attend monthly board meetings and serve on committees. Anyone interested should visit the City of Durango website, www.durangogov.org, click on Departments, then Boards and Commissions. Applications are due Jan. 8, 2010. |
