Only 50 days until Christmas!
Sidewalk repair to be limited to late fall and early spring:
Portions of the 600 block of Main Ave. and the side streets of 6th St. and 7th St. will undergo sidewalk repair beginning Nov. 5, ending Nov. 25. All businesses will be contacted by the City and the contractor before work begins to review specific plans, and coordinate construction schedules to minimize business disruption. Work will resume March 1, 2010 on the 500 block and intersection of Main and College with completion set for May 7, 2010.

The Blue Star Memorial marker in Santa Rita Park will be rededicated Nov. 9 with a ceremony beginning at 10:30 a.m. Sponsored by the Garden Club of Durango, the event honors the military and Blue Star Moms. All branches of the military will be represented, and the event will feature the Bar D Wranglers and the Durango Demons marching band. Refreshments will be served following the ceremony. The public is invited.
