Going to Bangkok!
The Thailand Government Printing Association has invited me to speak next week at PackPrint International (www.pack-print.de/event.html)  about the state of print buying in the US. So I'll be in Bangkok all next week. Thailand ranks as one of the top 20 exporters to the US for print, especially in the categories of children's books and greeting cards (ranked 7th and 7th respectively).  PackPrint is a similar international print show as Drupa, but geared to the Asian print market. I'll be back in the office on October 1.

Highlights from our Trends in Short-run Printing & Small Print Projects Survey
Be sure to check out a few highlights that I've posted on the results of PBO's Short-run Printing & Small Print Projects Survey. With 281 respondents we learned a lot. Thanks to all of you who participated. Overall, the most astonishing find was the rate at which print quantities have moved into the short-run area. Universally, buying companies are reducing the quantities of print purchased. This reduction is not only in the quantity per project, but also the overall reduction of print. Have a lovely week!
