The battles can become so intense that we can no longer mediate on the word of God; we are simply trying to survive and make it through to the other side.
I was talking with someone about this very thing last week - how we forget. We forget what the word says about it - because we become consumed with the battle - therefore there are a few things I want to remind you of today...just in case you have forgotten.
Now, your battle may appear great and large and ongoing - but do you remember that Romans 8:18 teaches us that no matter what is going on in our life, no matter how bad it is, regardless of how intense it seems - it is small....very small in comparison to the glory that God is going to show us when we come through this time of battle? Do you remember that?
Romans 8:18 says the sufferings we have now are nothing, absolutely nothing compared to the great glory that shall be shown to us and shown through us. Isn't that wonderful news!
I have always believed, according to the word of God, that whatever the size of the battle is, the size of the victory will be greater - and I know that I know that victory WILL come; it always comes if you continue to trust in God and keep our eyes on Him.
I just wanted to remind you today of the victory that awaits you, the glory that awaits you after the battle. I also wanted to remind you that according to Isaiah 54:17; No weapon formed against you shall prosper, and every tongue which rises against you in judgment you shall condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and their righteousness is from Me, says the Lord.
Jesus is a Lord of war - He is fighting with you - He will not leave you until you make it to the other side - He will not leave you until you taste victory.
You have a promise, an inheritance and that promise says that no weapon formed against you can ever prosper. That promise says that every tongue that speaks against you in judgment, you shall condemn.
This is your heritage - it is yours - it belongs to you.
You have more promises; the Bible promises us double for our trouble - it promises us that we will come out with plunder - it promises us that we are always the head and never, never the tail. You see, friends, the enemy wants you to lose sight of all these things in the heat of the battle but I wanted to remind you today.
The next time he (devil) tells you that you are going under, remind him of all these promises - put him in his place and allow the word to be exalted above your circumstances - allow the word to bring to pass all God has promised you by declaring it daily in the face of the enemy - in the midst of your battle - remind the enemy that what you are going through right now, doesn't even compare to the amount of glory God, Himself, is bringing in your life. The word of God is what Jesus used when the devil came to Him and it is what should be coming out of our mouth in the midst of the battle and as far as the enemy goes...it shuts him up every time.
