Someone shared this with me and I wanted to share it with you - as you sow your First Fruit offering at the beginning of the Hebraic month, sow it toward the month of victory & triumph.

Elul, the Sixth Month of the Hebrew Year
August 19-September 16, 2012
Note: For many centuries it was customary to read Psalm 27 each day from the first day of Elul (August 19) until the first day of Tishrei (September 17). It begins: "The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear?" In view of the uncertainties that Israel is now facing, I encourage you to read Psalm 27 daily.
General Introduction From Chuck Pierce's Teaching at Glory of Zion's Issachar School
"The heavens declare the glory of God" (Psalm 19:1). (Also see Psalm 8:1-3.) We look at the moon and the stars and want to know what glory of God they are declaring. They are declaring the redemptive plan of God into the earth realm, and we need to walk in it. The heavens are a circuit (Psalm 19:6). You can picture this as the Word of God encircling the earth. If we understand this and receive this, we can pull His Word into the earth realm. What is the redemptive plan of God for that month we're entering into? We need to understand it and then walk it out.
The Month of Elul
The month of the tribe of Gad. When Gad was being born, Leah said, "A troop comes," (Genesis 30:11) which indicates increase. Refer also to Jacob's blessing in Genesis 49:19, "Even though a troop will trample over him, he shall triumph." This also indicates that this is a month of triumph and victory. Say, "Lord thank You for great triumph and victory this month."
The month to camp or to find your place in the order of camps or in the company of the Lord. This is often the head of the year (the beginning of the Hebrew year often falls during this month). Many people miss their chance to find their place-consequently, they wander aimlessly. Maybe some kind of mistrust came in, and prevented them from connecting. If you don't deal with mistrust correctly, when the new window of opportunity opens, you will not connect, and can end up completely alone. We need other people. This is how we were made. Mistrust of others is a sign of a root of rejection. It will prevent you from coming into the fullness and strength that you can get from others. Thus, you can struggle through your wilderness by yourself. Periodically, there will always be a wilderness to go through. Jesus demonstrated that the wilderness can be a place of testing that produces testimony and which brings confrontation with the enemy. However, this is a warning to be properly connected, if you are isolated you will get picked off by the enemy. If you go through tragedy this will be a year of grief, process it through the blessing each month. Sometimes you must go through the wilderness but you can still receive the blessings available. You can pray 'Lord, do not let me miss opportunities because of mistrust. Deal with rejection in me, You want me abundantly connected, not isolated and alone.'
· The month of good fortune. Rewards begin to manifest over what you have done. Think, "reward." You will begin to reap what you have sown. If you constantly labor and never see the reward, you'll get burned out. You need to know how to abound. (In Philippians 4:12, Paul said that he knew how to abound.) Begin to think, "abounding and abundance." Start thanking God for his abundance and looking for more of it.
· The month that the King is in the field. Approach Him and allow His countenance to shine upon you. You need to learn how to approach Him. There is an awe of God that we come into so He can pour Himself out upon us. Pray, "Lord, lift up the light of Your countenance upon us" (Psalm 4:6).
· The month of Hebrew alphabet letter yod [י]. Yod is connected to the number ten. It is the only letter that is suspended in midair; it indicates appointed mercy from the hand of God.
· The Month of Virgo (the maiden). "I am my beloved's, and my beloved is mine" (Song of Solomon 6:3).
· A month to run into the tower of might-a strength greater than yours that can encompass you. You don't have to be strong all the time (see Proverbs 18:10), but you can enter into His strength.
· A month for inner knowledge of peace to be activated. Always find time to "regroup" in order to be whole.
· The "point month." The understanding of the beginning so you can begin to reach your end.
· The month to fix what has been broken. (If He doesn't tell you it is fixable, let it disintegrate and die.)
· The month of complex systems beginning to be managed.
· The "mother month." The month of nurturing. This month is "apostolic," just like Av. Whom are you looking after? Who is looking after you?
· The month where Rebecca gave birth to Jacob and Esau. Do you "birth" blessing, or something that God is going to hate later on? Who is contending for you?
· The month of the left hand, which controls the sense of action, and good or bad emotions. You need to be sure your emotions are in good order. In other words, let your actions come out of good emotions. You have ability to be a burden bearer.
