Yesterday as I was pondering on what the Lord had led me to write in the motivation, I heard a question in my spirit. Have you yet believed?
It sounded like an odd question, so I continued to think about it. In Cor. 4:13 Paul said 'I believe, therefore I spoke.' If we look back in Psalm 116:10, King David said 'I believed, therefore I spoke.' They both believed something in their hearts and then spoke. King David believed he was afflicted and spoke it. Paul believed the written word and spoke that out.
It is a truth that whatever we believe is exactly what we will speak. You only have to listen to someone for a few short minutes to know what they truly believe. Oh, I know, us Christians we talk a good talk sometimes, but when the fire is turned up, you will find out what we truly believe. How? By the words that come out of our mouth.
It's one thing to declare the word of God while you are standing in church and everything is going good. It is quite another thing to be under attack and continue to say what God says.
Our entire world is framed by the words of our mouth. By that I mean, whatever is happening in our lives is due to what we have been saying. The Bible says choose life or death. Also, life and death is in the power of the tongue. Therefore whether you enjoy life or are surrounded by death - it is coming from your words. Yes, your words are that important. They are that vital to your outcome. The word of God never fails. If you find yourself in a bad situation, if you will refuse to say anything except what the word of God says, I promise you - you will have the ultimate victory.
We see it in the life of Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego. They stood firm on the word, even when they were thrown into a fiery furnace and they came out victorious! We see it all throughout the Bible, when a man or woman of God chose to speak the word they always had victory - it is the same today. The word of God coming out of your mouth will not fail.
Every person you see who is walking in the abundance of God, or the anointing of God with miracles, signs and wonders following; they all have one thing in common. They have declared what the word of God says over their lives and refused to back off it.
Let's look at another aspect of this scripture; I believed therefore I spoke. This tells me that there must be a corresponding action to what we believe. We believe - therefore we do something that says we believe. In other words, if we believe we are healed, we will act healed. We won't go around saying how sick we are, we won't be lying in bed, we will be up acting healed. If we believe we are prosperous, we won't be worrying over bills, we will be declaring that all our needs are met according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus. If we believe we are in a season of blessing and that God has said give and I am going to pour out blessings on you in this season - if we believe that then what will we do? Give and declare ourselves blessed. IF we believe what we have heard.
It's time for a new thing, a new beginning for many of us - I say we take it by force. We do that with our words. Begin to declare what you believe today. Really, whatever you believe is already coming out of your mouth, is it lining up with Gods word? If not, change it quickly for you will have what you say. It is a biblical principle, we have what we say.
I read a scripture the other day that I loved: it is Psalm 51:10 and it is the Message translation: God, make a fresh start in me, shape a Genesis week from the chaos of my life. Don't you love that! Make a fresh start in me - shape a Genesis week from the chaos of my life. What is this saying? It is saying, give me a fresh start, let me re-create my life, take this chaos and make it something wonderful. A Genesis week, that is the week that God created the entire world, and He did it with words. He didn't create the world with nothing, only with something you couldn't see. It is the same today, you don't recreate your world with nothing, only with something you can't see. The same thing He used in the beginning...words.
Believe what God's word says about you. Then, begin to speak what you want to see come to pass and say nothing else. If you would do that for a week, you would see change take place, first in you and then in your surroundings. God would indeed shape a Genesis week - a new world - from your life of chaos, and He will do it through your words.
That's what I have been doing - saying what God says. Obeying what He tells me to do. Recreating my world with His word. And I must say, I am seeing results - you should try it!
