Deuteronomy 29:29 says 'the secret things belong to the Lord, but those that are revealed to us belong to us and to our children forever.'   I have always loved that verse. At times, it seems the Lord will speak a sentence to your heart and it just keeps coming to your mind over and over. You may want to dismiss it or think it is just your imagination, but don't, instead ponder it in your heart until the Holy Spirit gives you the revelation and understanding of it. What you are probably hearing is one of the 'secret things.'

 

I absolutely love that promise. It tells me that if I can get the revelation of a thing (word) it will belong to me forever and not only to me, but to my children as well. We have the entire Bible, so I don't believe we have a lack of information, I believe we often have a lack of revelation.

 

When something is revealed, the light of God shines on it and suddenly it goes from head knowledge to something you know in your heart and that is where the power is. Jesus wasn't just hoping or confessing that He was the Son of God, it was revealed knowledge to Him and that revelation enabled Him to walk just like God here on earth.

 

I remember when I received the revelation that I was healed, not going to be, was healed. Through that revelation, I have been able to stand and gain victory against many sicknesses that have tried to come on me. That is how revelation works, it gives you the power to fight, stand against and overcome. And that is why it is so vital to your walk with the Lord. We should be praying every day for the Lord to give us the revelation we need for each season we are in.

 

Revelation is what I had in mind as I was pondering over the thing the Lord has been speaking to my heart for weeks. It seems so simple but the more I ponder on it, the more profound it becomes for me. He said 'if you walk in the Word, you will walk in the Word.'

 

If you walk in the Word then you will walk in the Word. This makes perfect sense to me. Often, as Christians we feel we can stand on the promises of God and expect to receive them if we are not even walking in the conditions of the Word of God. I remember one day I was driving down the road and the Lord spoke to me and told me that if I would do a particular thing that He would bring this particular blessing to me. It frustrated me and I said 'God, why is there always an if you do this?'

 

Wrong question to ask, He simply began quoting scriptures to me like; if you seek Me, you will find me. If you humble yourself under the mighty hand of God, He will lift you up. If you bring your tithe into the storehouse, He will open the windows of heaven and pour out a blessing that you can't contain. If you believe in your heart and confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, you shall be saved. Everything comes with an if you do this.

 

What God was saying to me is, if you will walk according to My Word, do what it says to do, believe what it says, trust in it and trust in My integrity, and then you will live in the blessings of that Word. So it is with us all.

 

If we walk in the Word of God that says give and it shall be given unto me, good measure, shaken together and running over shall men give unto my bosom, then that is the promise of the Word that we will walk in, as we give unto the Lord, men will begin to give unto us.

 

If we walk in the Word of God that declares our healing and believe what God said then we will walk in divine health. If we walk in the Word of God that says when a mans ways please the Lord, He will make all his enemies be at peace with him. Then the only thing that can happen is that our enemies be at peace with us, as long as our ways are pleasing to the Lord, you see the Word of God has enough power all by itself to cause it to come to pass.

 

The promises of God are there for the taking. They became yours when you became born again yet there are conditions, once you follow what the Word of God says for your situation, that's all you have to do, then simply trust that His Word is full of integrity and will certainly bring itself to pass.

 

Have you ever read in the Bible where God failed one of His people? No, me either and I can assure you that you won't be the first. Because He is faithful and He will not fail you. His Word always comes to pass...always. Trust in the integrity of who He is and trust in the integrity of His Word.   Then walk in the Word and you will find yourself walking in the blessings of the Word. It is a sure thing!
