I have really pondered on the things that are happening, although they seem 'not so good' I still believe they are working something in me. I do believe the enemy is attempting to rustle my feathers, so to speak, but I also believe God is doing a work in me...if I will allow Him to. Some things are being ripped away from me by sheer force and that's not always a bad thing. Sometimes, at least with me, God has to eliminate all my exits so that I only have one way to go...His way.
I was thinking today about a scripture found in Daniel 7:25; it talks about a time when the enemy will attempt to 'weary the saints of the Most High God.' Several of the emails I have had in the past two days talk about how weary they are. If that is you, I want you to recognize that this is a trap of the enemy, but God's word tells us not to grow weary in well doing.
As I studied this scripture about not growing weary in well doing found in Galatians 6, I found that the words well doing mean more than I first thought. The phrase means to not grow weary in creating, producing and bringing forth good things. We create just as God did, with our mouth. And what is the first thing to get out of line when we go through challenges? Often, our mouth. Therefore, God is saying, don't stop speaking what you want to see happen. Don't start agreeing with the enemy of your soul, keep creating and speaking forth MY will in your life.
What do you do when the enemy has come at you to the degree that he has wearied you? You go to the word of God. 2 Samuel 22:33 says; the Lord is my strength and he makes my way perfect.
Psalm 18:2 says The LORD is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer ; my God, my strength, in whom I will trust ; my buckler, and the horn of my salvation, and my high tower.
Psalm 46:1 says God is our help and strength; a very present help in trouble.
Psalm 68:28 says Your God has commanded your strength. Over and over throughout the word of God you will find that the enemy attempts to weary you BUT God has provided strength for you, He has literally commanded strength for you. We have no reason to remain weary, we can walk in the strength of the Lord just like we walk in the peace of the Lord. Isn't that good news!
I am convinced that something great is coming, bigger than we can imagine. I am convinced that the enemy knows what it is and is doing everything in his power to get us of the path that God has set our feet on but it is God who makes our way perfect and as we continue to trust in Him, we will advance on that path, moving upward in Him all the time.
Today...take strength in the Lord. He is your strength. He has commanded strength for you, receive it. Remember, we run and do not grow weary, we walk and do not faint, we rise up as eagles and soar with the Most High God.
