Spring Cleaning of Your Business
Is your business in need of a makeover?
Welcome Spring! Along with the new season, it is
time for a Spring cleaning. Let's focus on cleaning up
your business, including evaluating what is or is not
working.
Is your business focusing on short-term gains?
Do you go into panic mode when your schedule is not
full? Are you constantly chasing the dollar? Go back
to your business plan and look at your long term
goals. If you are focusing on filling spots vs. allowing
your business to grow congruent with your core
values, then you will be spinning in circles and never
moving forward.
Are you taking the time to market your
business?
Your business will not grow if you do not attend to all
facets. Marketing and getting the word out about your
business is also important to its growth. Have you
developed your marketing plan? If not, take the time to
look at all aspects of marketing and what is most
appropriate for your business. Not all marketing
activities need to cost an arm and a leg.
Are you practicing your own self-care?
Be a role model. Your clients will take you more
seriously, and you will exude credibility if you are
practicing what you are preaching.
Do you have a support system of advisors?
We ask our patients to rely on a support system. We
too can have a support system and that is a team of
advisors ranging from an accountant to attorney along
with a mentor or business consultant. Utilize these
resources as they will help you stay organized so that
you can focus on growing your business.
Are you trying to do it all?
In addition to a team of advisors, how about a front
office or virtual office person that can help you field
phone calls, book appointments, research or perform
tasks that take you away from your role as the
clinician?
Is your business model working for you, or do you
need a tweaking? Change is difficult, but is it more
difficult to stay where you are? Allow your Spring to
give you a new perspective on your business and
move forward with ease.
