LET YOUR INTUITION GUIDE YOUR BUSINESS PLANNING )
Career Roadside Assistance from Jump Start Consulting, LLC

I decided to bring my daily meditation from my living room into the yoga studio, at which I practice. What a concept! This only works when I attend the first class of the morning aside from the very early class that actually has meditation built into the end of class. On rare occasions, I can attend this session but most of the class bolts before meditation leaving a few of us along with the teacher.

When I arrive early to class to meditate, at first I am alone. Gradually, other students begin to stroll in. They chatter about their kids, recent plastic surgery, etc. It doesn't take me long to tune out this entire babble and focus on my breath.

What is my point? If you can become still and focus inward, you can create an awareness of what truly works for you in the business department. The "non- diet" and "intuitive eating" movement has helped individuals move away from "diets" to conscious eating. It would stand to reason that the concept of quieting the mind goes hand and hand with intuitive eating, in order to give you the strength and confidence to trust yourself. Along with intuitive eating, comes intuitive business planning. A one-size fits all approach does not fit everyone's goals and aspirations.

From one of my clients, "What works for me personally is my own personal blend of different approaches and coming up with my own recipe. Since each of us is unique, someone else's approach may not be the "entire" answer for us. Life is trial and error and our needs change over time. Finding a center still point in my opinion is key in determining for myself what works best for me in any given moment." This comes from an individual who meditates an hour each day-one who is striving to balance between resistance and her own discoveries along different paths. Although she was referring to her diet in this instance, do you see how it is so applicable to business planning?

Psychics are an industry unto their own. People don't hesitate to spend gobs of money to get their fortune told. If you listen to your own breath, you can become your own psychic. You can learn to trust yourself and follow through with your own plan.

So, when you work with clients on a nutrition level, think about what you expect from them and how you hope they follow through (food journals, health vision, goals, etc.). Putting it into this perspective may be helpful when you sit down to write your business plan. Don't underestimate the power of written goals. Know yourself and learn what is best for your practice setting.

"What do you see when you look in the mirror?
Is it a vision of yourself or someone you can't seem to recognize staring back at you
Is your image fading into some semblance of a past Vision or is the Mirror beckoning you inside
Offering an embrace which you cannot turn from
And you cannot Refuse"
