Greetings!
On this Feng Shui Friday I'm getting ready to head home tomorrow from San Francisco. I'm sure I had an outstanding time! I would expect no less from being on vacation with family.
What are you doing this weekend? Are you enjoying your time with Mrs. Chi? I hope you invited her in and let her keep you company, the feng shui way. |

Last week I introduced you to an amazing collection of feng shui experts in Jami Lin's book The Feng Shui Anthology. In his chapter entitled "Turn Signals for the Unconscious" Richard L. Phillips said "...turn signals tell you where to go and what to do, which room to use, and how to behave there. Positive turn signals in your home lower stress levels and give your body more energy for healing, growing, and being creative...and set the stage so you can empower yourself."
That is exactly how Mrs. Chi finds her way around your home. She watches for your turn signals. Here's how you can guide Mrs. Chi with turn signals this week.
- Add some color to your front entrance: flowers, welcome mat, fresh paint, door decor
- "If there are...hallways and room[s] all carpeted with the same floor covering, your unconscious [Mrs. Chi] might say, 'Why use this room? It is awfully hard to get into; let's avoid it all together.'" Open doors and use turn signals to invite Mrs. Chi safely from room to room
- Use color, wallpaper, area rugs, fragrances, fresh flowers, artwork or music as turn signals to advise Mrs. Chi where to go
- Place a plant or artwork in an area where you want Mrs. Chi to pause: top or bottom of stairs or main house out to garage area
What creative and decorative turn signals have you used to direct Mrs. Chi through your home or office?
Until next week
Wishing you Simplified Interiors,
