It's March Feng Shui Friday and I'm in Hawaii. What better place than a beach in Paradiseto think about making lists, getting organized, and dreaming. Mars (the planet of action) went retrograde (slowing down to the point of appearing to move backwards) on January 24 and stays there until April 14. Now is the time to PLAN, strategize, and get your ducks in a row and TAKE NO ACTION until you do. It's time to focus on your vision, your goals, your wishes and desires, and your intentions. Before Jack Nicholson's Bucket List, I encouraged students and clients to start a "100 Things to Do Before I Die" list so they could begin to see all the wonderful opportunities available when they weren't dealing with clutter (stuff, to do lists, paper and projects); which, as you may know, requires constant managing, worrying, dusting, organizing, cleaning, displaying, filing, and completing. #1 on my list: Walk on the Great Wall of China. Done! and #2: spend time in Hawaii annually. Done! Begin your list today.
The first step is knowing what you want. For help, try a favorite book by Henriette Anne Klauser - Write it Down, Make it Happen: Knowing What you Want - and getting it! Her stories and examples of people she has known who have actually taken the time to write down what they want are perfect illustrations of how they made it happen. After each story you get a chance to put her tips and advice into action with her section "Now You". Because there are no boundaries when it comes to dreaming, now you spend time in your Paradise planning what you want.
