RUMPELSTILTSKIN

doraRecall the Grimm Brothers moral tale of promises made and promises broken. When a poor miller tries to impress the greedy king by boasting untruthfully that his beautiful daughter can spin straw into gold, the king locks the girl in a room with a spinning wheel and some straw. A strange little man appears and entices the young maiden to promise him her first born child if he assists her.  Later, he returns to claim the baby in fulfillment of their bargain, but is undone by his own ego.
