Acceptance
"If you want to learn acceptance, then the next time you are caught out in the rain without a raincoat or umbrella, rather than run for shelter, allow yourself to get wet. You will be very aware of the resistance to getting wet, that instinctual urge to run for shelter, the sense of 'me' that wants to protect itself. This is what must be surrendered in order to stay out in the rain. When this resistance is surrendered, and you allow yourself to fully feel the experience of being soaked, then there is a sense of freedom from yourself that carries with it a sense of deep unfathomable peace. It has nothing to do with liking the rain or not liking the rain. Rather, it is letting go of the one that likes or doesn't like, the one that separates itself from the rain in the first place. And when you do that you are simply left with what is. There is no you and what is, there is simply what is. And the experience of what is is peace, is delight. It is completely open and vulnerable and complete in itself. If you apply this experience of being in the rain to any situation, any emotion, then there will be incredible freedom. It has nothing to do with the particular experience, rather it is about letting go of the one that separates itself from experience, letting go of the one that tries to control the experience. Because it is that separation that creates all conflict. Blessings, Kip" Please Note: My main teaching is for you to immerse yourself in Kundalini Shakti - the energy one naturally radiates in the highest states of enlightenment. Reflections of the One Life: Daily Pointers to Enlightenment by Scott Kiloby by BookSurge Publishing Paperback ~ release Date: 2009-08-10

November 20th Notice what you really are Before you tell the next story, complain about your boss, argue with your kids or your spouse, notice what is really here in the space of now. The mind comes up with all sorts of stories: "I am happy," "I am angry," "I am right," "I am spiritual," "I am not spiritual," "I'm a father," "I am really good at my job," "I am unemployed." Whatever comes after the words "I am" is just a story. That story constantly changes. There was a different story there when you were twelve years old. There will be a different story there on your deathbed. But the felt sense of "I amness" or being never changes. It is what you really are. How can you be a story, a constantly changing set of images? Before the story arises that you need something other than what is happening right now, notice the presence that is already here and totally complete in and of itself. Once it is seen that this timeless presence is what you really are, the search for something else is over. Presence already contains all the love, freedom, peace, compassion, and joy you've been looking for "all your life" in these stories. You missed it because you took the stories to be true. You took yourself to be a story.

Chapter 4
Fact: Consciousness is the Infinite Itself
(Continuation...)
[Does Consciousness go away? Does It stop being infinite, or all the Presence there is? Consciousness, I-ness, is perfectly present regardless of whether "I" is said or not] After all this, don't start by saying "I" am Consciousness, or "I" am the Infinite, when speaking in terms of Consciousness, the Infinite, the Self. Turn it around. Infinity Itself is the only I. Again, there never is a personal "I" that is being infinite. One always starts with Consciousness, Self, Life, or some other synonym, not "I." Why? Infinite Consciousness never actually thinks of Itself as "I"; It never has to say "I" to identify Itself to Itself, or be reassured It is Infinite Consciousness. It is. The use of the word I is wholly a human invention. It is always focalized. The example of saying "I" is given only as another way of pointing out One's undimensional nature, and that the Infinite never is separate, never off in a vague, imagined "infinite" somewhere apart from this present Being.

From PART V:
8. What other activities can we instill into our life experience to enhance our relationship with our Inner Presence?
(Continuation...)
For example, we may hear a cheerful song on the radio, and it reminds us of our last intimate relationship, and so we think about that. If this relationship ended poorly, and left us grieving, the song causes us to re-enter grief. We are unable to hear the cheerful song at all, even though that is what our ears register; we hear our illusory interpretation of the incoming signal, which in this case manifests a past echo of our unresolved grief.

The Ease Of Being
(Continuation...)
[Due to the depth of his amnesia, the King takes some time, but sooner or later, he remembers who he really is and returns to the palace, ordering the ministers to resume their official duties.] At the very moment the King abdicated his royal powers, he gave up his Freedom, of his own free will. His Freedom expressed itself as the desire not to be free. From that moment on he seemed to be bound and the circumstances of his life seemed to confirm his new status. In this state, the only freedom available to the King-pretending-to be-an-ordinary-person is the freedom to remember himself again, as he truly is.

Chapter 89
Progress in Spiritual Life
(Contiuation...)
Q:What am I expected to do when I become a disciple?
M:Each teacher has his own method, usually patterned on his Guru's teachings and on the way he himself has realized, and his own terminology as well. Within that framework adjustments to the personality of the disciple are made. The disciple is given full freedom of thought and enquiry and encouraged to question to his heart's content. He must be absolutely certain of the standing and competence of his Guru, otherwise his faith will not be absolute nor his action complete. It is the absolute in you that takes you to the absolute beyond you -- absolute truth, love selflessness are the decisive factors in self-realization. With earnestness these can be reached.
