States of Witnessing
"What your mind tells you about what is here and what is really here beyond mental perception are two completely different things. Thinking usually happens at such a speed that the reality you experience is not questioned. And what is the mind doing? It is defining, describing and judging and justifying those definitions, descriptions and judgments.
It is constantly creating and reinforcing a sense of "me" that is separate from everything else and thus there is conflict. But if you take a step back and observe thinking, observe the process of thoughts arising, then this whole mind perception begins to fall apart. At first, the idea of the thinker will disappear and you will see thoughts are arising by themselves. From here, all judgmental thoughts will stop arising. As you go deeper, all personal thoughts of "me" and everything in relation to this personal "me" disappears and there is an incredible sense of freedom. Then you enter dream states, visions, esoteric and subtle thinking that cannot be comprehended by the intellectual mind.
And beyond this is mental noise.
And beyond that mental noise is silence, a sense of nothingness, pure consciousness. The beauty of it is, the moment you begin observing the thinking instead of identifying with thoughts, that sense of stress and conflict considerably dissipates and there is incredible peace.
And with each level of witnessing you sink into, you let go of another subtler sense of self and this peace and bliss increases. Judgments stop, the bliss increases, the personal sense of "me" as you know yourself to be disappears and the bliss increases. You keep moving closer and closer to the essence of what is really here, to pure peace, pure consciousness and you become more and more free.
It starts with observation, with witnessing, but then what happens cannot be explained, you feel your way into it, you let yourself go into it. Kind of like when you go to sleep at night. You lie down and relax and then you let yourself go into sleep. You don't really know intellectually how it happens, because it happens beyond the perception of mind. Blessings, Kip" Please Note: My main teaching is for you to immerse yourself in Kundalini Shakti - the energy one naturally radiates in the highest states of enlightenment. November 16th The dueling dualistic mind Notice what is happening when you believe strongly in a particular viewpoint. The dualistically opposite viewpoint is often repressed. All points of view, because they arise from the dualistic mind, are ripe for separation and conflict. If you say, "I know my view is correct," this belief carries with it unconscious doubt. If you knew with absolute certainty that your view is correct, there would be no need to defend it. That knowing would not carry with it unconscious doubt. The belief that something is a certain way carries with it an unconscious, unexamined doubt that it is not that way. This is why you find yourself defending your views. You are not so much defending the view as you are defending the dream self that is attached to it. Identity is lurking in our viewpoints. Your arguments with others really have nothing to do with them. You are pushing for your point of view to prevail. Only non-dual awareness sees this dualistic "duel" as it really is. Thought cannot see what is happening here. Thought is dualism. In the moment you see your point of view being held tightly and defended, notice that there is fear and doubt in you. Fear and doubt arise directly from the dream of self. When this game being played by the dualistic mind is seen, all viewpoints are seen as dualistic. They exist only in relation to their opposites.

Chapter 4
Fact: Consciousness is the Infinite Itself
(Continuation...)
[As this One I Am is entirely infinite, borderless, how could I ever have gotten confined inside the borders of the three-dimensional body that is holding this book? I couldn't] Just where, in what single spot could one put that which is entirely undimensional? How much space is needed? How could one say for sure, since it's impossible to know what Infinite I-Consciousness looks like? This One I Am can't be pointed to anywhere, because there is no shape to Infinite I, nothing to point at. Yet I Am always present, aren't I? Not even I know what I look like. In fact, I don't look like any thing. As undimensional, infinite Presence, I Am not something that can be looked at or located, even in a body. Has any surgeon ever seen Life Itself, ever plucked I Am from a body with a pair of forceps? This One I Am never stops being infinite, undimensional Presence to become solid, physical flesh. Limits of matter do not apply to I, for I Am not material, not a finite thing. Yet here I perfectly, effortlessly Am- present as this Conscious One here, now.

Presence is the porthole through which we interact with our Inner Presence, just as our Inner Presence is the communicative conduit through which we establish an authentic two-way relationship with whatever God is for us.

The Ease Of Being
(Continuation...)
[In place of the subtle sense of lack that pervaded our thoughts, feelings and activities in the past, a sense of well-being and ease begins to shine in the background of our lives and to overflow into the foreground of our activities and relationships.] The experience of Love is precisely this relaxation of Consciousness' exclusive identification with a separate body/mind and, as a result, the inevitable inclusion of the other, of all 'others,' within itself. For that reason Love is said and felt to be unconditional, uncaused, unmodified, universal. It has no opposite. It is inherent in our true nature. §

Chapter 89
Progress in Spiritual Life
(Contiuation...)
Q:The other day seven young foreigners have turned up asking for a place to sleep for a few nights. They came to see their Guru who was lecturing in Bombay. I met him -- a very pleasant looking young man is he -- apparently very matter-of-fact and efficient, but with an atmosphere of peace and silence about him. His teaching is traditional with stress on karma Yoga, selfless work, service of the Guru etc. Like the Gita, he says that selfless work will result in salvation. He is full of ambitious plans: training workers who will start spiritual centers in many countries. It seems he gives them not only the authority, but also the power to do the work in his name.
M:Yes, there is such a thing as transmission of power.
