States of Witnessing
"What your mind tells you about what is here and what is really here beyond mental perception are two completely different things. Thinking usually happens at such a speed that the reality you experience is not questioned. And what is the mind doing? It is defining, describing and judging and justifying those definitions, descriptions and judgments.
It is constantly creating and reinforcing a sense of "me" that is separate from everything else and thus there is conflict. But if you take a step back and observe thinking, observe the process of thoughts arising, then this whole mind perception begins to fall apart. At first, the idea of the thinker will disappear and you will see thoughts are arising by themselves. From here, all judgmental thoughts will stop arising. As you go deeper, all personal thoughts of "me" and everything in relation to this personal "me" disappears and there is an incredible sense of freedom. Then you enter dream states, visions, esoteric and subtle thinking that cannot be comprehended by the intellectual mind.
And beyond this is mental noise.
And beyond that mental noise is silence, a sense of nothingness, pure consciousness. The beauty of it is, the moment you begin observing the thinking instead of identifying with thoughts, that sense of stress and conflict considerably dissipates and there is incredible peace.
And with each level of witnessing you sink into, you let go of another subtler sense of self and this peace and bliss increases. Judgments stop, the bliss increases, the personal sense of "me" as you know yourself to be disappears and the bliss increases. You keep moving closer and closer to the essence of what is really here, to pure peace, pure consciousness and you become more and more free.
It starts with observation, with witnessing, but then what happens cannot be explained, you feel your way into it, you let yourself go into it. Kind of like when you go to sleep at night. You lie down and relax and then you let yourself go into sleep. You don't really know intellectually how it happens, because it happens beyond the perception of mind. Blessings, Kip" Please Note: My main teaching is for you to immerse yourself in Kundalini Shakti - the energy one naturally radiates in the highest states of enlightenment. Seeing through the dream of self
What is the dream self? Is there anything other than awake emptiness looking right now? The dream self is a movement of grasping towards thoughts, feelings, experiences, beliefs, knowledge, conditioning, and interpretations (i.e., temporary forms). This movement is a contraction in the body and mind designed to maintain an illusory separate entity known as "me."
When this assumed center is seen through, there is only this immovable, changeless, timeless awakeness. The dream self is occurring in this awakeness that is looking now.
Mental interpretations that tell you the world and others ought to be different are just part of 'your' dream. Your ideas about yourself and life are seen to be empty. They are manifestations of this empty awakeness.
This doesn't mean that forms stop arising when This is seen or that you stop thinking, feeling, or experiencing. There is no "you" to stop or start doing anything. Doing arises involuntarily from awakeness. Temporary forms are not the enemy. Non-duality is about seeing through this dream of self that is grasping onto these temporary forms in some attempt to solidify a central illusion called "me." Being an illusion, this me can never reach awakeness.
Awakeness already is. The dream of self is seen to be nothing more than a grasping towards temporary forms that are apparently arising from and fallingback into this awakeness.

Chapter 4
Fact: Consciousness is the Infinite Itself
(Continuation...)
[Aliveness, Presence, and Infinity all are synonyms for I.]
Now see if it's possible to pin down or limit where the borderless One I Am is while saying "I." Really try to find one specific location.
When silently saying "I," don't first assume I is inside the body, for that's just an assumption.
Instead of looking inside the body for where I might be, put the shoe on the other foot. Rather, where are all these potential places in which one would try to locate I? Whether that place is called a head, a torso, or entire body, it always is some thing I appear to be aware of. That thing is found nowhere else. As Awareness, I Am always unbound-greater than that thing, rather than I being bound inside it. This never changes.

From PART V:
8. What other activities can we instill into our life experience to enhance our relationship with our Inner Presence?
Any activity directing our attention into this moment increases our level of present moment awareness, and anything that anchors us more into the present moment enhances our relationship with our Inner Presence.

The Ease Of Being
(Continuation...)
[Consciousness never really returns to itself. It just abides knowingly in and as itself. It no longer pretends to be other than it is.]
To begin with it is not accustomed to this abidance within itself and it grasps again for the old objects, the old habits of avoidance and resistance with which it has become familiar and comfortable.
However, over and over again this identification with layers of the body/mind is relaxed through understanding, and Consciousness becomes increasingly comfortable abiding in and as itself. The ease of Being begins to pervade experience.
From time to time old layers of identification with the body/mind reappear. However, they lose their separating power and with it their capacity to induce suffering.

Chapter 88
Knowledge by the Mind, is not True Knowledge
(Continuation...)
Q:I have found that the realized people usually describe their state in terms borrowed from their religion. You happen to be a Hindu, so you talk of Brahma, Vishnu and Shiva and use Hindu approaches and imagery. Kindly tell us, what is the experience behind your words? What reality do they refer to?
M:It is my way of talking, a language I was taught to use.
Q:But what is behind the language?
M:How can I put it into words, except in negating them? Therefore, I use words like timeless, spaceless, causeless. These too are words, but as they are empty of meaning, they suit my purpose.
Q:If they are meaningless, why use them?
M:Because you want words where no words apply.
Q:I can see your point. Again, you have robbed me of my question!
